The governance of Manassas Mosque is the responsibility of its permanent Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is also responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the premises, including its activities, programs, finances, up-keep, expansion and design of the center.
Executive Board
An Executive Board will be subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees and its members will be selected from the membership of Manassas Mosque. The Executive Board members will serve as Chairperson of a committee to organize activities and programs at the Mosque. The Chairperson may choose his or her way to conduct activities or programs based on the laws of the Mosque and the rules and laws of the Qu’ran.
In the event of one or more members of the Executive Board resigning or being absent or not performing his or her responsibilities on the committee, an evaluation of the individuals situation will be held each year during the month of Muharram unless the Board of Trustees decides to take an action to protect the interests of Manassas Mosque. In the event that a disagreement arises from among the members of the Executive Board, members of the committees, or membership of the Mosque, the matter will be resolved by referring them to the Qur’an and the Fatwa from our Maraja (Islamic Authorities) under the direction and guidance of the Board of Trustees if necessary.
